with the cork shoved back in it or some other contraption you can keep a good wine in the fridge for NO LONGER THAN 2 DAYS before it looses it's full flavor.

For those with a decent palate for wine, after this it is piss. Of course it is drinkable for a couple of weeks, and can also be used to cook with, but really - just buy another bottle if it has been longer than a couple of days.

There are great vacum pumps that are sold at liquor stores to preserve it longer.

if it has not been opened, and has a real cork, lay it on its side, to keep the cork from drying out, otherwise oxygen will sour the wine, and make it like vinegar. Your nose is the best test. If it smells like vinegar or old socks, then it to the sink with it. If you want to preserve wine for longer, use nitrogen, ( available in small aerosol cans for this purpose, this gets rid of the air, replaces it with nitrogen and therefore "seals" the wine. Anyway, 1-2 days would be an estimate, but trust your nose.

White wine, even when not opened, doesn't keep as well as red wine. My wine geek friends would say 1 year but I loosen that to 2 years.

Once opened and exposed to oxygen wine starts to deteriorate so it it is best used as soon as possible as the taste will start to go off after a week or so.

If it has been opened but with a cork or something sealing the top, then it should last a month or more. The thing is alcohol evaporates very quickly, after a month you may see half of your bottle has gone!

Wine goes bad approx. 45 minutes after you take the cork out, so, chug-a-lug!!!

Wine doesn't "go bad" in the same sense that perishable foods do. Wine starts to oxidize when it has been opened, which on most wines is a good thing for the first few hours as it affects the aroma and flavor of the wine. A typical table wine is usually good up to 3 days after it has been opened assuming you re-cork the wine and store in a cool dry place. After three days (just a rule of thumb) the oxidizing has usually gone to a point where the wine has lost it's flavor and starts to become unpalatable. Marsala is a slightly different case. I'm not 100% on the specifics, but this type of wine (along with desert wines and ports) have already undergone some oxidization while being made. They tend to last longer and the rule of thumb there is a month, assuming a cool dry storage such as a fridge. I typically keep wines on the side (keeps the cork from drying out) and have been known to keep a Marsala cooking wine around for 2 months or so. Basically, just let the marsala warm up to room temp after you pull it out of the fridge and then take a sample sip/smell. If you don't like the aroma/taste then it has past the point where you will want to use it. It will not make you sick though so no worries. It's just a flavor thing.
