I will be flying from Chicago to Europe. We can fly into London, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam. The best rates I have found are with Lufthansa, Air India, Brittish Air, United and American. I do not mind paying a little more money for a better carrier since it will be such a long flight. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

i've got flown on a lot of distinctive airlines, and that i might actually evade any US distributors long haul. For that 0.5 of the international, Quantas, Air New Zealand, JAL, Korean and Air Canada are all far extra helpful in all categories than Delta, American or United.

i have been flying into london for the past 16 years, i have always travelled on british air and found it to be great. the departures and arrivals are almost perfect, seating is comfortable ( i mean as comfortable as you can get in a seat) staff are friendly and so far no problems with lost luggage, plus prices were comparable with other airlines

I've only been on Northwest when going to Europe, and my experience with them is great. They come around regularly with beverages and you can also ask for more if you need to. Same goes for the food. You can usually ask for a second tray once they have reached everyone. also, the movies are always ones that just reached blockbuster and they also have some filler shows and funny things to watch, along with sattelite radio. If you get a seat in the side rows you will be better off....you and the person you are sitting next to can trade off and get the extra aisle leg room.

Take the American Airlines flight from O'Hare to London - it goes daily. The plane is a 777 which is very nice and new.

I took US airways from miami to amsterdam. It was a smooth flight. Nice flight attendants. I also went from miami to Venezuela on american airlines, but that was only a 3 hour flight, so not a big deal.
