Blaming God, when things go wrong, is a common habit of people all over the world.
You have asked, when bad things happen including, suffering, and loved ones dying, we blame it on God.

That is an attitude of helplessness as if God is controlling our lives and we are no more than puppets on strings, with no freedom of our own.

You have heard people say,

"God helps those who help themselves."
"Man proposes, God disposes."

That is not the right. That is an attitude of helplessness..
Everyone has to struggle and strive, suffer and survive till the last day of his life.

Sometimes a string of bad things happen one after another.
Then, some people say, "It is written in the stars, What can I do?"
Another lame excuse! If you can't blame God, you put the blame squarely on your stars.

Once when I was watching a cartoon movie with a little boy, he told me. "Don't be afraid, he is not going to die. He is only a cartoon."

We are neither puppets, nor cartoons. We are living human beings. When something sad happens we are shocked. After the initial shock is over, we try. We can never stop trying. If we refuse to try, we might as well take drugs and slowly die while others live on and keep trying.

Life is for living, not for dying!

Today, more than ever, the personality of God is less understood by people. There are many reasons why this has happened. Perhaps the 2 biggest reasons are from lack of proper teaching and lack of personal contemplation and reflection.
These days, religion is most often taught incorrectly to begin with. How can a person second guess God? If God exists, then we aint in no position to doubt His ability. A person who has asked God to make Himself real to them understands that God's wisdom is far greater than man's limited understanding.
People feel cheated when loved ones die. As if life belongs to us.
The bible says we are not our own, and that we were handed over (which implies possession) to our own desires, and the father of lies.
But - it also says we were bought with a price, payed for by the blood of an innocent man.
Can you hear the implications of possession?
We do not have the right to presume we would all attain long life, prosperity and health. This is not heaven. This is not hell.
This is earth. The battleground for your soul. Will you see it for what it is and swallow the bitter truth that will lead to the saving of our souls, if not our physical bodies.

Perhaps if more fathers acted like their Heavenly Father we would relate better with God...
A father must let you experience life through submission and rebellion at his child's choosing. Even suffering, which refines us and is meant for bringing us CLOSER to God, not further away....

God is perceived as an omnipotent being, the highest power in the Universe. Hence, anything that happens is supposedly God's will. As a result, people will blame God when bad events occur for either making those events happen, or allowing those events to happen.

I dunno....why is it when you are dying of cancer and the doctors save your life, you attribute that to God as well?

Its called playing the blame game. Most religious people have been brought up with this mentality - it isnt their fault - it was the devil or some other entity that is to blame for their suffering. This lack of responsibility forces one to blame EVERYTHING on something outside themselves....
And it all starts with your God. He (supposedly) is omnisicent and can see past, present and future - but he created mankind anyway, even thought he knew we were going to screw up royally, and then he blamed US for it!!! So, I blame him back!

It would seem reasonable that people who believe in god, and believe god created everything, knows everything, controls everything, would also believe that god cause's these problems to happen....for a reason....

i don't believe in a god, but i do see gods work all over the world. I see gods love working against a woman's right to choose. I see gods love in the eyes of those that oppose same sex marriage, denying there loved ones health care coverage. I see gods love and promise of heaven in the terrorist flying plains into buildings. I see gods love working to protect the zygote, even if it means causing the suffering of a child with burns to her body, or the little girl born with spinal complications whom would benefit from stem cell research.. oh yes.. i see god working his magic all over the world....and i too blame god

im not sure, i just had something bad happen to me and i found myself yelling at God. i honestly dont think he did anything wrong and nothing is his fault. but im not sure why i blamed him. maybe its because back in our minds we remember being taught that God works in mysterious ways. And if you honestly believe in miracles or that God has a hand in some decisions or actions, then it makes perfect sense why you would blame him or get mad at him for something bad happening to you, because you would think God could have done something but he didnt. but in reality he cant do anything. i think we blame him when we are mad because we just arent thinking and we want to blame someone and he's always the first person that comes to our minds for blaming

Because most people do not want to take responsibility for there own actions, so when something happens they can blame God. Pretty pathetic in my view.

Because they think that God actually has His hands on this Earth. They think He controls everything with puppet strings and stuff goes wrong, it's got to be His fault. Those are the ones who do not know His role in our lives.

Because it is always easier to blame things on someone, or in this case, something, other than yourself. People just don't want to be wrong and they want to remain blameless. Human nature? Maybe...

Okay, let's use some earthly examples....
If you buy a car, and it breaks, you blame the manufacturer.
If you buy a dinner and they don't get your order right, you blame the restaurant.
If you buy clothes and there's a tear in the crotch, you blame the store.
If you get a life and it starts going to hell, who else are you going to blame, yourself? plz....
