I just tried taking a pan out of the oven and the pot holder slipped and I burned my hand pretty bad on one side, it was a pampered chef matel lever type stoneware.. and I hitthe metal it doesnt hurt horribly bad but can I put anything that is usually ni the household to help it from hurting so bad???

Put Desitin on it, the silver in it will take away the pain and heal it much more quickly.

Someone one said toothpaste--DO NOT use that--it will burn your skin.

Try something cold--even ice to cool it down. Get some neosporin or cortisone cream to help soothe and heel the burn.

Next time wear oven gloves!

run cool water over it, not cold. Aloe is the best if you have it on hand. But you can run to the store and get a burn ointment that has a pain killer in it as well as a antibiotic.

Aloe vera gel helps so much. Its great with burns as well as sunburns. You can find it at any drug store. I didnt mean 2 sound like an infomercil but it really works.

well, usually for burns, theres always the ice paks in the first aid kit, now if u dont have one, just grab a ziploc bag & put some ice in it, crush the ice & that should cool it off & help with the burning pain. . . . oh & congratulations on ur little girl, hope y'all are doin fine!!!!

Run some cold water on it, usually when you get a burn place cold water on it. An old remedy was to place butter on it but I found that it doesn't work but I still do it:)

Aloe vera jell, or Noxema (the kind in the blue jar). They both have a cooling effect.

DO NOT PUT BUTTER ON IT FOR CHRISTS SAKE NO BLOODY BUTTER!!!!!!

a tomato will draw the heat out and the antioxiddants in it help speed healing, ice also works, cold water, but i would definalty say a sliced tomato

BUT NO F*IN BUTTER PLEASE DONT PUT BUTTER ON IT!! that first persons advice sucked

Try mustard but first rinse with cold water then put mustard on it and a bandage
