I just found out my boyfriend has some friends that I knew nothing about that he hangs out with regularly. I have never met them or even heard of them. These are not new friends, we have been together for a while now and this is so strange and sudden. He also hangs out at this methodist center and I never knew that he went there why would he not tell me, he is not even methodist? What does this mean and is this normal?

This really depends on how old you are.
Sounds like if he hangs out at the Methodist Center it is a Religious place and maybe he is shy about you knowing that he goes to a church thing.
If you are very young a boyfriend is more casual at your age than if you were 20 years old.
I don't think that he is lying but just not telling you about it for some reason.
Best to just tell him, that some kids have told you that he hangs out at the Methodist Center. Tell me about it? Then listen without judging him. You can ask why he never told you. And be sure you are open to him and not judgment. If you still feel the same about him, then just tell him that you are an open person and he can feel free to tell you anything.
Guys arn't always open to talking about things as females are. We talk about things over and over again.
