If you're able to "manipulate" his legs and feet without him showing discomfort that's a good indicator that no major bones were broken, but he could have a fracture or a small-bone break.
We suggest -- just to be on the safe side -- that you take your dog to the vet and have the affected area x-rayed. If it's nothing, you'll know, and if it's something, you'll have a good head start on getting it corrected before it has a chance to get worse.
Also, if it turns out that the dog was injured, turn the vet bill over to the trainer and ask her to reimburse you for the fees incurred. She should have insurance that covers injuries to your dog while its in the training setting.

I'd have a vet take a look just in case...
he's still a little thing, so the bones have a bit more flexibility to them than an adult dog. BUT it is possible that he could have fractured a toe, or pulled a tendon...or a sprained wrist, or knee....etc.
better safe than sorry.
my dog jumped off the couch. (about a foot off the ground..) and she is NOT a tiny dog....but she fractured the SMALL bone in the back of her leg...the vet fixed her up and she's fine now..but she only yelped and slightly limped..didn't really make much a fuss. but that is instinct with dogs...any show of weakness makes them vulnerable..so a defense against that is to "put on a brave face", even pups do it.
*sorry he got hurt! poor little guy*
it's probably just a sprain or a bruise..but I'd still have a vet check him out just in case.

I would take him in especially being that breed. What it sounds like is he might have pulled a muscle or strained something along his spine. Pinched nerves are also common when dogs jump up and twist. We had a cocker spaniel and he did the same thing and showed the same signs as yours only his back legs were affected. If it is muscular or spinal you will need more than an x-ray. He could have swelling along the spine that you can't see but which is preventing him from walking normally. Don't take a chance. Good luck.

I'd take him to the vet. Animals by instict try to hide signs of pain and sickness. The fact that he's still limping and yelping means he's experiencing a lot of pain. They'd be able to tell you the best way to help your puppy.

He could have sprained his leg, maybe injured the joint. You could call your vet and see what he says. More than likely he'll want you to come in for xrays. If he can't put full pressure on it and yelps, there's a good chance it's more than a bruise.

I figure better safe than sorry. It may be nothing, but growing puppy bones are nothing to mess with. Have the vet check him over for peace of mind.

My vet usually recommends an exam in this situation. The fact that he doesn't put his full weight on it is somewhat worrying. You may need xrays.
I would bring him to the vet if I were in your shoes.

I would have him seen by a vet and soon. Just to make sure he hasn't broken anything. Poor baby. Aww, and he was just happy.
