not a lot, it is a bacterial infection. without antibiotics it will still clear up, it will just take longer. keep your eye clean and flushed with eye drops if they get dry or stuff gets in the corner of your eye. also don't rub your eyes with your hand because you can transfer bacteria. and if you wear contacts, start wearing back-up glasses if you have them.

isolate yourself until all symptoms are past, or you will infect everyone with whom you come in contact. Apply warm compresses every hour, should take 10 to 14 days for it to run it's course. Most people just see a doctor and the next day, after getting the eye drops, they are fine.

If you actually have PINK EYE...you need to go to the dr.. if you don't want to, I;m sure they make some sort of over the counter eye drops for something like that. or, research online what kind of eyedrop the dr. would prescribe for pink eye and see if you can get it online somewhere.

You do need to go to the doctor because it is contageous. Don't touch it. Put a patch over it or something. Don't go near anyone. Now, after you read this, call the doc or go to the emergency room!

The cheap method is avoiding contact with others and keeping your eye covered via sunglasses and dont rub. Like all viruses they all go away in time. Medication makes it go away faster.

Just keep it clean and wash your hands and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING it spread very easily. If you have it in one eye, you have to be so careful not to spread it by rubbing your eye and touching your other eye.
