I just read an article a few days ago that stated that there are two competitors ready to release, the Blue Ray DVD and a 2nd (can't remember the name) but if you want the true best, the article said Harvard research is working on a DVD that is worlds beyond even these new technologies, but it is 10 years away from distribution.
