Allow the skillet to get warm over MEDIUM heat and then add the desired amount of hamburger. Use a wooden untensil to break up the bigger clumps of hamburger. Cook until no longer pink. About 10 minutes (depends on how much is in the skillet). When straining the hamburger from the fat...NEVER POUR IT DOWN THE SINK DRAIN! (unless you want to call the plumber) Drain it into a bowl through a strainer. Let it cool then empty the bowl into the trash can. Too hot and you'll end up with a leaky garbage bag.
To fry a hamburger in the skillet...Patty your burger and allow the skillet to heat up before adding the meat. Cook over Medium-High heat 4 to 5 minutes each side until desired doness. Follow the same directions for the grease but you don't need to use a strainer.

Medium-high for 2-3 minutes, then flip. Cook another 2-3 minutes (put cheese on and cover, if desired).

cook on medium heat, b/c the grease will go everywhere, and you will cook the outside too fast if on high...also for future use..they have a grease net..that fits over skillets that will catch the grease...you can find them in any grocery store

this is going to matter on how thick you're making the burgers. The thicker they're, the longer this is going to take. don't be tempted to wreck the burgers down with the spatula, which will only push the juices out which will cause them to dryer. i could think of that 5 minutes in line with part could be adequate. in case you serve them and that they are nonetheless too pink on your liking, placed them back on for a jiffy. My maximum secure and quickest thank you to prepare dinner burgers interior is on a George Forman Grill. It takes approximately 5 minutes and the two sides are cooked on an identical time.

Medium high until one side of the burger is slightly carmelized, flip the burger and lower the heat to medium. Cook until it is your preferred amount of doneness.
