only 70% of Americans are eligible to vote, and 52% OF Americans eligible to vote are registered, about 40% of those registered actually vote regularly
so less than 20% of those eligible to vote make the decisions in this country for everyone
a recap
300 million people=US
210 million people= Eligible to vote
109 million people= registered to vote
41 million people= those who vote
20.5 million people+1= number of votes required to win
=

52% of American voters are registered to vote out of the population of the United States, out of that anywhere between 40% to 45% vote regularly in the Presidential elections, and about 35% to 40% vote in the midterm elections. But these percentages change during wartime, and huge economic problems.

I live in a voting district of about 20,000 people and I am always mailed a ballot because there aren't enough registered voters in the district. None of the people who I know smoke Marijuana voted in the latest election where there was a question of legalizing Marijuana. This is in a State where not long ago, one was guaranteed a five year sentence in the Penetentary for possessing less than an ounce.

About 50% of eligible Americans vote in presidential elections, but only about 37% of eligible Americans vote in non-presidential elections.

I think it's somewhere between 30% and 40%. But, as far as for my family and me, it's 100%. Choose it or lose it. Don't vote, don't gripe!

I agree in theory with it, but it doesn't really matter right now. not until a NEW party arises, one that truly wants change. until then......Baaa Baaa Sheepole... keep playing into their hands -dems hate repubs, libs hate cons, black hates white, so on and f'n so on. PLEASE PEOPLE WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE
