The Resurrectionist: Indeed, using "non-theistic" would be better, but "atheist" tends to get more interest in the question.

Mirage, using "non-theistic" would be better for Buddhism as well, even preferred to agnostic. Using the latter seems to imply that there is a concept of god being wagered, when Buddhist writing simply doesn't address the issue. And Jains don't believe in the henotheistic system of traditional Hinduism. If their beliefs are described in terms of divinity, panentheism would be a usefull word.

The only ones I know of are Jainism, some forms of Buddhism, Satanism, and Humanists (for those who consider humanism a religion). Animism might be considered atheistic, I'm not sure about it.

I would recommend using the term non-theistic rather than atheistic. It's the same thing, but saying atheistic religion seems to be confusing some people.

Edit: True enough.

How many atheist are there, thats how many different ways of viewing the world there are. Atheism is not religious. A religion is about Regulation, Regimentation, and control. Atheism lets you be free of all that.

There are no Atheistic religions. Just because a religion doesn't believe in your god doesn't mean it has anything to do with the antithisis of belief, Atheism.
