I also have black hair, and i went with a honey color. I had planned on getting all of my hair highlighted which cost around $160, but the sylist i go to suggested just to do the top since my hair is dark and go with small to medium strands, and its much more cheaper, mine were less than $50 and i have long hair. Which I love!!!

make them a nice honey brown color medium cuz thin wont look good on curly and chunky is too much out of style, medium will give ur girls a sexy effect, i got mine done for the first time medium golden honey brown highlights and they look so gorgeous! all the girls changed their minds about thier hair colors and asked to do like mine, so trust me from expeirence u should try it good luck!

redish brown not chunky just med. or dark brown highlights. you could have it cut at the shoulders with long layers or a little above with all over layers.
