I am travelling economy class by KLM/NWA in December to europe and then further to Asia. I know AA, Continental and Delta charge for in-line alcoholivc beverages but I'm getting mixed answers regarding KLM/NWA.

Has anyone travelled recently by KLN/NWA internationally. Do they charge for alcoholic beverages?

(Back in 2003, when I travelled by KLM?NWA internationally, they did NOT charge for alcoholic beverages)

There is no charge for liquor on Trans-Atlantic (European) flights.

There is a fee (5 dollars or 5000 yen) on Trans-Pacific (Asian) flights. The latter is fairly recent, adopted this past summer.

I flew with KLM in 2003 and Dec 2004 to HK and I think that wine is complimentary with your meals if you desire it. Not too sure about when they do the drink rounds cos all I've seen available were orange juice and water.

My memory is vague. I flew Xmas day morning and we did get optional complimentary alcoholic beverage.
But hey! At least there's free ice cream!

When I wen to Egypt to years ago I got two bottles of wine for free each time they came aroud asking about drinks, in addition to the regular beverage of choice. Other drinks I'm not sure about.
