I asked a hypothetical question a while ago. The question was if you died tomorrow and you didn't get into heaven, what would be your first thought as to why you didn't get in. Only about half, really answered my question. Others went around my question or were so sure they would get into heaven. Is being hypothetical so scary? I'm not asking to question God or the bible but to question yourself. Admitting wrongs can help to better yourself. Also how can anyone be so sure of their heavenly fate? Isn't it being a little over confident to say you'll get into heaven? I'm not speaking of faith either. You can have faith in God and the bible, but you cannot speak God's mind on judgment for each individual including yourself. After all God is suppose to be the all knowing supreme being. So you can know God and be for God but you cannot know all, for that would make you God. So questioning yourself would admit to not knowing all and humbling yourself to try and live better for God?

I know I am going to Heaven because that is what God has told us in His word (sorry, had to slip that in). I'm not trying to sound better than anybody else though, I am just stating what I believe. And yes, all Christians should be trying to better ourselves and live more for God. There is nothing wrong with admitting we are wrong, it is a measure of how much growing in Christ I still have to do. And no, I do not know all, but that is what faith is, believing in what is unknown.

Somebody gave me a ticket to
see the #1 Rock Star in the entire
world. I didn't win it or do anything
to deserve it. It was just a gift.

The concert is next month.
I know where I will be sitting,
which door I will go in, what
time it will start, what the star
will sing.

Yet, there is somebody who
says to me almost every day:
Are you sure you have the ticket?
What if it isn't a real ticket?
What if you get to the concert
hall and there isn't really a show?
What makes you think you haven't
done something so that your ticket
will be taken away from you!?

All I can do is trust that my ticket
will work, I will get in the concert.
It was a free gift. I didn't do anything
to deserve it. I didn't deserve it when
it was given to me. I can't do
anything to 'earn' it, or to
deserve it 'more.'

Does that make me a 'little SURE of myself?'
Well, I guess so.

I think if you did not get into Heaven there would be no doubt why because you would be faced with Truth, Jesus, you would know exactly why you did not get into Heaven and you would say yes Lord. At that time you would also see Satan laughing at your gullibility as he directed his minions on where to put you.

whats the point of even answering the hypothetical question? when God promises something,NOTHING changes that so it is humbling yourself and submiting to His word.
