All know it's not anyone else saying this! They say it's 2 preserve the American culture. The A'can culture has nothing 2 do with English Only; or has it? Wts have always felt that; proving WHITES ARE NOT AMERICAN! If U don't behave as American you won't be considered or treated as American. That law will not apply to wht foreign languages.
People not being able to fly their own flag by itself is: it's all communizism! The only flag that should displayed above all is the HUMAN FLAG. U won't do that cuz all humans R racist.
It's suposed 2 help solve the illegal imigration problem by having the employers make sure all the employees R documented. That law the, suposedly Above American whts, ignore to take advantage of all the immigrants as cheap labor slaves.
English Only is unamerican; more solid proof that whts R not American. If they will not behave as Americans, they have to be deported 2 their derived from the LATIN WORD speaking countries. Holocaost & Indians, by wts!

It is not racist. They are whites from Italy, France, etc. The law does not say, don't speak Spanish. It is for all languages other than English. And what do you mean American culture has nothing to do with English only? That is the language we have been speaking here since the USA started.
What is the human flag? The law says you can fly other flags as long as the American flag is on top. Why? Because we are in AMERICA.

you've put together a pretty funny little rant there.. I got my laugh for the day- unAmerican-... ok to answer your questions...
first English, see if we are ALL going to live together in a country as Citizens of a Country, we need to communicate with each other... anybody can speak any language they want however at some point all Citizens need to communicate with each other, whether it's in a store, in home, on TV, on the radio, whatever there has to be one language that everyone speaks... at home and with friends anyone can speak any language they want, but if we are all going to live together in this country we ALL need to communicate with each other.
Anybody can fly any flag they want.. I drive down the road and see flags of all different countries, however if you are in America there needs to be a reason that you came here, and if you came here for freedom and a better life then you really should respect the flag of the Country that you came too to have a better life- you should still respect what that flag stands for - and there is no Human Flag.
A country is unity... there are people of all nationalities and races and no one is asking them to give up there heritage but people living in a country should respect that country and what they stand for.... I won't go to Germany and expect them to fly an American flag, or speak English (even though most of them do) because I'm there- It's their country and I would have respect for their country, their Flag, their language, and their people.

I don't believe language has anything to do with race since anyone of any race can learn any language they choose.
So obviously asking anyone to learn English is not racist considering all kinds of immigrants have managed to learn English. Chinese,Russian,Polish, German, African and yes even Mexican immigrants have all learned English in order to become productive members of society. Asking America to cater to people who refuse to assimilate into our English speaking society is obscene. Obviously if you have no desire to speak English in an English speaking country- you are not really interested in getting a better life are you?

I know personally I am sick of calling a # and getting " For English, press 1." If you live in America, you should have to be able to speak English!It's the same as me going to France and refusing to speak French.. it's just not right. I think if you live in this country and are going to be here a while, you should have to know how to speak our native language!! I have no problem with people who can speak other languages or tourists from other countries who only know a few phrases, but come on! It's not racist to insist the people of this country to know how to speak the country's language! That's absurd! Get over it!

Funny, I've heard plenty of AMERICANS wanting the language to be English. These would be Cuban-Americans, African-Americans, Chinese-Americans, Jamaican-Americans, and others. It has nothing to do with RACE and everything to do with CULTURE.
You want to speak another language? Don't be pissed when you can't read the voter form, the welfare form, or the bail form. Or you could always go back to your native country....

English only laws are wrong, especially because English is not the native language around where the laws are enacted.
I does bug me though to have to pay for translations for people who are too lazy to learn the main language for the country they are living in.

My my, you are quite the racist. For your information the correct term is Caucasian. If you would check your U.S. History in the early days of this country English won out as the official language for this country by one vote. It beat out German. The European immigrants learn English quite well, as do the Asian immigrants. So why is it that the Hispanics refuse?

I think people that learn English when they come to this country do better financially. It is a lot of work, but they are better off in the long run if they learn English. They can still maintain their native culture and native language.

How come people have to turn everything into a racist issue? We made it our main language because that is what most of the people in America speak. It is that simple. How does that have to do anything with being racist? I would learn the definition of racism before you go around using it.

i don't think it's racist at all. why should the US change it's laws because of all the Hispanics who refuse to learn English. I don't think that if millions of white people suddenly packed up and moved to mexico that mexico would have english signs everywhere! also, mandarin chinese is the number one language in the world, and there are a lot of chinese people in the US who don't speak any english and i have yet to hear about a chinese version of the us national anthem.
