Im sick and i was wondering if theres anything good out there that actually helps people from not coughing as much, while their sick.

Many over the counter products advertise they are for cough - but there is only 1 that really is - dextromethorphan (Delsym) often abbreviated DM. There are 2 types of prescription cough products: benzonatate and opioids. The first is devoid of side effects. As opioids (such as codeine) may cause sedation, they are ideal for night time use. Where there is a cough there must be a cause. Causes include post nasal drainage, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, and of course - infection.

I think you should dring lots of fluid and take anything that has alot of vitamin c to boost your immune system.
