It is very difficult to lose weight simply by doing cardio, like riding a bike. The is really 3 parts to being able to lose weight and keep it off. Cardio, weight training and diet. All three are equally important in my opinion. You could ride your bike all day long, but if your not eating healthy nothing will happen weight wise. And weight training is important because muscle burns calories. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn, even when your not doing anything. You dont have to go crazy and turn into a body builder, just some simple weight exercises will help a lot. Good luck.

The bathroom scale can be evil sometimes. The best method to see changes in your body is to use a tape measure. Losing inches is more important than losing weight since muscle weighs more and takes up less space than fat :)
