what is the standard blood work that is done before surgery?

Ditto with spyderman, CBC, Chem7, PT/INR, PTT, possible bleeding time, and if the doctor is smart, a current blood type on file.

They will probably get: CBC, CHEM7, PT,PTT,INR. But depending on what type of surgery, others may be needed.

They will do a blood gases test. Ouch.
