YES, YES AND YES...

This was me about five years ago- I actually am now diagnosed with OCD but I still think that the Marijuana triggered it (it may have developed anyway- but I think it played a role)- I think that Marijuana can have very strange effects on some people- especially those who are prone to mental illness

That was the worst time of my life and I was so scared of people finding out that there was something wrong with me- I think that the best thing to do would be to talk to him and let him know that you are not judging him, still want to be his friend, would never think less of him because of this, etc- I know from experience that he very well may think that if people find out something is wrong and that he is different they won't like him anymore

It's hard to get help and know what to do when your in the midst of a time like this- but knowing you are on his side and won't leave him will help- and he really should stop smoking for now

I stopped for a long time- only recently did I start smoking on occasion- I am very careful not to do it too much and if I notice a change in how I'm thinking regularly I know to take a long break

I hope this helps- but really- make sure he knows you care unconditionally and that nothing he tells you about how he feels would make you not like him anymore

Sorry so long

Lack of self esteem has little to do with marijuaha, as a matter of fact I believe it would bring him out and he would be more relaxed and talkative just the opposite of what you are describing.

Sounds to me like your friend is depressed which is a mental illness and needs a professional opinion. Everyone thinks people are talking about them behind their backs at one time or another but whenever he talks like that you can ask him ok prove your thought, what is it that gives you proof that this is actually happening, because maybe they are doing so, and if this is the case than he is not being paranoid just needs to change his scene, hang out with people who will appreciate who he is that sort of thing.

We are guilty of acting on top of the world one day and then fell like crap the next, it doesn't mean anything, if the person is sad for a long period of time talks down about himself all the time, like I'm such a loser, who would go out with me, all the time then he may be depressed and require therapy to make him see that everyone has something to offer and give. Good luck

I TOTALLY KNOW WHERE YOUR FRIEND IS COMING FROM! IT HAPPEND TO ME. I used to use pot for about two years straight and a lot of it. I have quit know for about a year and half and I can tell you life is not easy at all now that I dont smoke it. I have developed very bad anxiety dissorder due to the use off pot except for if i smoke it now my heart races to fast and it increases my anxiety. Unfortunately a drug like pot, regardless of how people tell you its mild. It will change your brain chemistry and your friend will probably have to rely on some medication. It totally sux but just let your friend know that he isnt the only one out there that this has happened to. PEOPLE THINK POT IS HARMLESS BUT I KNOW THAT IT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!

If he has only been smoking heavily for over a year then he absolutely could become paranoid, lethargic and also express other symptoms of use. I would be more worried about why his is using pot to cope with his social withdrawl and his anxiety. Pot is only a symptom of his true problem.

What you have described so eloquently is a classic symptom of a person who has sunk into the depths of methamphetamine addiction. Look for other symptoms to manifest themselves soon, such as, weight loss, poor hygiene, tooth decay and the appearance of facial ulcers. The only cure is intervention and the addict's co-operation.

well to be perfectly honest i used to use all drugs and unfourtunatlly thoes are some of the typical things most ... not all people experiance when they blaze. the only thing i can suggest is if this person is really you friend tell them exactly how u feel and ur concern for them and ask them to maybe cut down cuz it seems this person isnt handeling the effects very well. their begin to let the drug take over their feelings.

pot is very addictive drug and if you can talk him into getting help that would be great if not there is nothing you can do.. tell him this for me thou.. my bf has been smoking it for years and now he can not stop and there is no known drug to help him stop but cold turkey..if he did it once in a while say once a month at a party he may be just fine but to do it everyday to pleast stop it is a dead end road. my bf has to do it every morning before work and after and with liguour just to pass out that is all he lives for
