Anyone heard of this, I came across it the other day. Basically as far as I can tell its a christian RTS where you go around trying to convert or kill the unbelievers in NY. I also read that when your soldiers etc are victorious they shout praises to God.

What would happen if I were to create a video game where, instead of saying "God is the greatest" or whatever, my characters said "Allahu Ackbar" (maybe the last level could be like err I dunno destroying a couple of tall buildings in the city because the unbelievers wouldn't convert).

It doesn't take a genius to work out that I would cause mass outcry and probably be shipped off to guantanamo bay. Anyone see the point I'm trying to make here? Your opinions?

Several Christians reading your question just felt a draft. You exposed their hypocrisy and they won't like that.

Oh yeah. I know the point you're tryin to make. Reading what you discover is makin' me ask the same type of question.......ok, I don't know the best wording for the question at the moment.....but it's along the lines of......"How is a christian video game that consists of killing or converting unbeleivers any different from the strategies of the terrorists that we are at war with, and above all, why in Hell are they getting away with it, with little or no fuss, because if they made a muslim equivalent of the game (or any other religion for that matter), people will more than likely raise Hell about it.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like videogames (violent and non-violent) I play them a lot. But I think it's the question of....if "we" are better than the "terrorist" (who in this case happens to be muslim radicals (im sure not all muslims believe in killing people all over the place)) then why are we being just like them in a video game?

Did I just ask the same question twice? *scratches head*

Oh well, sorry if I did. But you brought up a very good point. I liked your question. There's a rat in american christianity and we're all starting to smell it.

ROFL. omg theres a game where u go around converting or killing unbelievers. wow that sounds as bad as grand theft auto. how come u dont hear people go against games like this so much? thats funny and yes i see ur point. my opinion is christians whine about anything they can, even if half the stuff they believe is related to it..

for example, they complain about harry potter cause it has witchcraft and evil in it. C.S. Lewis (narnia series) has a witch in it and is filled with magic... Disney cartoons are filled with magic and about good over evil. why dont they complain about those? in my opinion they need something to whine about

disclaimer: this is for those christians that are under this category, as i know many many who have no problem with harry potter, or pokemon, or santa or anything. this is for that select group only.

I think it's *really* tasteless. As a bi Pagan woman in New York City, the thought that my little cousins will be getting this for Christmas and playing it makes me cry real tears. I hope they remember how I listened to their problems and how my wife taught them self-defense moves when they're converting or killing virtual New Yorkers. And I'm giving all three of them Gamestop gift cards, so they can get another game, too.

I went to the website once to check it out and went through the question answer thing. I forget which question it was, but the answerers completely dodged it rather than admit the horrible, pandering nature of the game.

I've heard of it too. I'm sure if I made a game where an atheist satarted capping religious believers, I'd get shipped off as well.

Furthermore, I can't start a white-male-atheist club at my school. Doesn't life just suck? :P

I've heard of a game about Left Behind, but it is not as you describe (going by the press release off the website)
