Do you think my b/f had a secret crush on me before we got together?

My b/f and I met thru my former boyfriend. He hired us to clear some brush off his property and let us stay on the property during the week. Evry day. I mean like five six times a day he would come down to have a coffee and he would always call me by the name my ex used "Pookie" I hated it.
I would get such crap from my ex when he would leave. I even got accused of sneaking out to meet with my then boss.
I WAS NOT!
I got together with my now b/f the after my ex was arrested for beating me AGAIN! (ok it was the next night) But my new b/f initiated the relationship. Now I am not sure if his feelings are real or he was just trying to make me feel better.

Being a guy, most likely he did have a secret crush on you. Hope he's not like your former bf, in the physical assault sense.

I would ask him about this, if you're unsure. I saw the Simpsons yesterday (not to bring too strong of a parrellel to your situation) and Marge's sister, in this episode, is seduced by a has-been actor. Apparently, though, he was just using her affection so the media could see that he was a normal guy (previously, there was suspicion that he had a freaky animal fetish). He would make sure the paparazzi was around when he took Marge's sister out.

I don't think he really liked you he was just giving you a hard time and now he is just dating you because he feel bad for breaking up with you. Please don't get mad but move on trust me on this girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
