God also tells us to test the spirit, and I say you were not inspired by God to write this, but maybe inspired by satan himself.
I cannot give you any proof since you are blind/deaf/dumb to the ways of God.

My, my, my.
The answers are flaming hot on this one. Seems someone struck a nerve.
Someone said that Darwin's work is accepted and he is a man. Umm, he also presented evidence. I know, I know, evidence is something that religion hates with a passion. Leads to intelligent people and intelligent people are a lot harder to manipulate.
The bible contradicts itself many times, makes claims that we know are not correct, and gets a little unreal at points. Not a well written work. It advocates violence and hatred. I think the point here is, why would a christian expect any reasonable person to follow the bible if it has these flaws? Really, give reasons why someone should believe enough in the bible that it makes them believe in a god. He obviously can't write a book.
Prophecies, so what. The bible does not have any accurate prophecies. An accurate prophey will be one that is specific and has names, dates, places, and specifics. The prophecies in the bibles are guesses hiding in a murky pool of vagueness. After the fact, someone comes along and applies the prophecy to a past event and like silly putty on a newspaper, the prophecy now reflects the event.
Historical evidence. Yes, there is some history in the bible, however there are some parts that are not backed up by history. King David, almost no record of the guy in history. What can be found is his name written in three different places. Wow! Must have been a great ruler to have his name three times. Moses and the exodus from Egypt. Umm, there is no record of that either. Not from Egypt or from any of the surrounding countries. Also, egyptologists say that the wonders of Egypt were not built by slaves, but instead required a skilled workforce. And no mention of this Moses guy at all. If the bible cannot correlate to history then there is something wrong here.
Here is something, study Noah and the ark from an engineering standpoint. Try to figure out how you can build a boat for all the animals, get them together, load them up, bring enough food for them and the people, take care of the animals by properly feeding them and cleaning their cages, last over 100 days, end up on some mountain and still have all the animals end up on different parts of the world. It cannot be done. Of course, people will just say "god helped them". And that is the end of the argument. No debate. Someone played the god card.
To sumarize, why believe in the bible? What proof is there that any of the miraculous stuff is describes ever happened?

you are write..man-written but God inspired. and Jesus is not coming back to save us all..He is coming for the few that have a personal relatonship with Him. there are a lot of proofs: most people like you would probably need to see visual proof. how do you explain this:people who died an they raise again. This lady in my church was dying from cancer. the doctors quit. there was nothing anyone could do. so our church gathered round her and prayed. when we were done, the doctor checked her over and said that there were no signs of the cancer. justa coincidence, huh? the Bible alone is proof enough.

Sandy is so right. I wish I was level two so I could give a thumbs up. christianity is not a brainless religion. People smarter than you or I have rejected and the the like have also embraced it, so jabs at our intelligence should not be used. Intelligence is irrelevant. What's relevant is an open or a closed heart. God has hidden these things from the wise of this world and chosen to reveal them to the simple in order to manifest His glory. Yet you don't have to check your brain at that door; only your pride.

The proof is given to one with a humble heart who seeks God persistently and in earnestness.
The proof is not provided to one with a prideful head who pretends to seek God while mocking him.
If you want proof, seek the living God. If you want to love yourself at the expense of your soul, keep doing what you're doing.

There are many people down thru history who have met Him and have given their story for us to read. Examples, Dr. Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Corrie tenBoom, Jim Bakker, Dr. James Dobson, Joel Osteen, ect.ect. I could go on forever. I could add my name to a very long list of people who have personally met Jesus Christ.

he already came back 3 days after he died. its up to you to save yourself. people mis-interpret everything and their self-important little souls -- all however many billion of them that can't get through their heads they are little ants -- want to believe he is coming back just for them for no good reason cause its not even in the bible.
whoever made this up didn't even put it in the bible. some psycho protestant preacher made it up and its taken for gospel just like people think movies about moses are the same as the bible versions. it would help if christians would even friggin read their bible -- and i don't mean the ken haggard version.

Why do you exclude the possibility that God may have chosen to reveal Himself through human writers?
Can YOU prove that He didn't?
