For the past 2 months maybe, I have been going to bed at about midnight and waking up to get my husband off to work at about 6:45am and I fall back to sleep. I end up not waking up until 3:30pm on the dot everyday. When I wake up, I feel like I am light headed and groggy like you do whenever you take nighttime medicine the night before. This has only been going on since I quit my job. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with me and tell me what I can do to stop this? I have trying going to bed earlier and staying up when he leaves. I am 110% sure that I am not pregnant. Please help.

Yes I am anemic and I am depressed from more than just not working. I did not want to quit my job, but I was really left with no choice.

Sounds like depression to me. I have been diagnosed with bipolar a couple of years back... and for months at a time i feel sluggish, sleep tons and i am unmotivated... and some months i can get anything done and i don't like to sleep during those months. I have a very mild form of bipolar. but I know that during my down months it is hard to pull myself out of bed at all. I don't necessarily feel "depressed" but my body sure does. I can sleep for 12-15 hours a day during those times. I say the best thing to do is to contact your physician and find out if it is a physical or physiological. Another thing that I have found helpful is to improve you diet and exercise. It really does give you so much extra energy.

you feel groggy coz your body clock is not happy that you have over slept. when you went to work you had a rountine that you stuck to each day and had maybe a lie in at weekend thats fine but when you come out of the routine you are messing up your body clock it doesnt know what to expect! the best way to reset it is to go to bed at midnight and get up when your husband goes to work stay awake drink coffee and keep yourself busy. You become more tired when you are not doing anything rather then when you are. So bed at midnight and even if you cant sleep stay there get up at usual time and dont goto sleep may take a while but you feel much better for it. it like training a young child you tell them bed and you make sure they stay there as time goes on they learn its same as your body clock

There could be a lot of answers to your question. How old are you? Are you anemic? You may be depressed from not working. What are you doing (besides sleeping) to fill your time? You might have Epstein-Barr virus. That makes you sleep 9-13 hours a day. If you want to try non-prescription medicines, try two cups of green tea with one tablet of Echinaea (410 mg) and a B-12 tablet. It really helped me and it's all natural. But, my first advice is to see a doctor.

That happens if you oversleep. Your just feel tired all the time. Set your alarm for eight hour after you go to bed and the don't go back to bed. Turn on a light right away, and drink some water. Also, if you take B vitamin supplements, then they help to energize and destress you.

You sound depressed ( I quit my job...), depression can cause a lot of sleep. Force yourself to get up... shower when your husband leaves for work, that should help keep you awake. You're probably tired also because you're sleeping way too much. Try some self determination girl! You Can Do It!!!

sometimes when I feel down, I feel I would like to go to sleep and shut the world out for awhile......letting my mind rest from the cares of the world......almost pretending things are not there....but enjoy my family and friends and am nowhere near sad enough to want to exit........
but from the schedule you stated, seems you simply may not be getting enough rest before getting the hubby off to work and then relax enough to sleep overdo it.......
the weather changes can affect folks like this too .....
if continues for more than several weeks, may wish to consult your medical doctor to see if there may be undetected sympthoms or onset of mild depression - any of these will be helped with meds ....
but then again - maybe you just need this time for yourself and just overdoing in sleepmode ---
set timeframes for sleep after he leaves, then timeframes for other activities of the day ....... jobseeking, hobbies, household shopping, visiting family/friends, volunteer with some group/organization, church activities ..... plenty of things to do serving a good purpose and then in no time - you are well on your way.
Just may be out of sinc right now!
Take care and God bless!!

It sounds like you're depressed. I'm not a doctor, but any deviation in your sleep routine that is not easily explainable is usually that. Did you want to quit your job? Is your self-esteem wrapped up in what you do rather than who you are? Are there any hobbies you can do to keep your mind occupied?
