how does teh lack of sleep affects the human eye?

As a Jamaicain we use the term "bleeching" as it relates to not sleeping during normal sleeping hours. eg. staying up late at night i.e bleeching

the eye muscles just get fatigued and the eyes tend to water more and get a little red. otherwise it is generally healthy idea to sleep well, no matter where you are in the world! lol, good luck
