When we go to eat at the table he runs around until we all sit down and then he sits under the table getting ready to scavenge. When it's time for bed he gets under the blankets and snuggles up to us. Someone knocks on the door he barks. I think he is trying to protect us or something.

My lab mix will jump up on the couch next to my husband, sit up and lean back against the couch. He immediately puts his arm around her. It's really cute.
Bailey also carries things for us. She'll deliver anything I tell her to down the basement stairs to my husband when he's downt here watching football. Of course, he always has a treat waiting for her...

I'm sorry, but though I love dogs especially our Lucy, I think its an insult to see them as human.
Insulting for the dog that is. Thet were created as dogs.

My younger one watches TV, especially programs featuring animals! He sometimes watch quietly, most times though he wants to play with the animals in the TV!
Also, he owns charms -- since we practice feng shui -- based on his birth date and year. You can find these charms on www.unique-cat-dog-gifts.com

Well for starters theyre very smart... both my dogs understand me.... i can talk to them like I would talk to a person .. and they know wat Im saying .. especially when I say "walk"
And I think one can kind of read my body language... its kind of scary .. last night I was on msn and told someone I had to go walk my dogs... and without me even saying a word.... my dog jumped off the couch and grabbed her leash ..

For my Border Collie, it's that intense, inquisitive stare she gets when she's curious about something. I can just see the wheels turning in her head every time!

When it's time to go for a walk my two female shih-tzu's will come and sit at my feet and just stare me, like they are trying to communicate with me telepathically. When I ask "Do you girls want to go for a walk?" they run to where we keep their leashes.

Sleeps in MY bed, sits on MY couch... watches TV? She thinks she is just as human as I am, I just don't tell her otherwise.
