From your description there is little doubt that this discomfort is from your colon. This is a long (10 to 12 feet) hollow muscular tube whose function is to remove water from the body's waste so that you produce a formed stool. Disorders of motility are very common, and the colon has more nerve input than any other organ - so it is very 'reactive' and 'responsive' to physical and emotional stimuli. Your Dr will not be in for 2 weeks - so if it gets worse - see a Clinic Dr as this is easily treated.

I hate to say it but it may be gas, in all actually it could be a lot of things. But I say gas because sometimes when I eat I get a pain like that in my side...Try taking some tums, gas-ex or any product like that and see if it helps if not go see your doctor when you get the opportunity. If it is that bad dont wait till your doctor gets back go to the emergency room etc

It is the result of over eating or indulging . Also if you practice to lay down after eating this can cause sever problems and pain that often time feel as though it in your back but really is not . Practice eating on time or before you are extremely hungry
