believe it or not i just got my braces off on tuesday, after having them for 2 yrs and 4 months. i went through pretty much everything orthodontal from rubber bands to a palate expander to retainers and "tongue cribs" (you don't even want to know); I think u get the picture. So i guess u could say I'm pretty much an expert on this sort of thing. Soft foods, of course, would be the thing to go with. I'd honestly have to say soup. Ice cream's good too. Or yogurt or even mac and cheese - basically anything soft and anything that u feel comfy eating. Good luck - and I'm sure your smile will soon be absolutely gorgeous!

When I first got braces, my mouth felt like a bunch of boulders held together by a chain link fence. At first, I couldn't even imagine eating, but then my body kicked into survival mode and forced me to eat something. Applesauce. I know it doesn't sound great, but it's the only thing that I could eat that didn't put pressure on my teeth and gums, and I didn't have to pull it out of the metal... The upside was that I lost 80 pounds also, but you have to worry about anemia.

It would be better for you to drink juices at the moment or it something that is soft . Try to keep the pressure of your mouth as the tendinitis will last for a few days or hours . After which you can switch back to your regular eating habits

start off by eating something soft like a soft taco or pudding.
i had braces before, it will only hurt for the first few days then it will get better, before you know it, it will seem like you are not even wearing them.

mashed potatoes, cereal with cold milk (let it get a little soggy), no meat, nothing real chewy. Popsicles. Take some aspirin and a nap. My friend really liked to brush her teeth when she got her braces tightened, she said it made them feel better, I can't say that I agree with her, mine hurt when I brushed, but be sure to do it anyway, as often as humanly possible, you don't want nasy stains!!

My son stuck to jello, milk shakes, mashed potatoes, spaghetti and meat sauce, stuff like that for the first few days.

Soup. Lots and lots of soup.
And soft bread rolls if you're feeling up to it. Weetabix, too.
