I would start out slow. Start a set workout plan. First workout only once a week doing weights and running totaling 45 minutes. Then after you do that for a while (like 2-3 weeks), move to working out twice a week. Then continue this pattern until you are at a rate that is a lot of working out but enough to handle. If you go too hard all at once for one week, you will lose motivation. Once you're at 3-5 times a week you should stay motivated. You don't have to work out super hard to lose 20 lbs. Here is a good sample workout once you're at the peak:
25 minutes brisk walking/running
20 minutes weight training
Diet is important, so strive to eat healthy but it is OK to eat crap sometimes like 1-2 times a week. I feel that dieting is a big aspect to losing weight, but exercise is the bigger piece to the puzzle.

If you're tired all the time, you might want to get your blood sugar checked. It could be a symptom of diabetes.
The good news is, you don't have to be rich or go to a gym to get healthier! Just pick the right foods and get off your butt, and you can lose some of that extra weight. Try eating more salads (McDonalds and Wendys have some good, cheap ones) instead of a burger. Buy brown rice instead of white - there isn't as much processing with brown rice, so it's better for you and has a different, kind of nutty taste. Personally, I find that after getting used to the brown rice that white rice tastes kind of sticky and not-so-good. Look at the ingredient list of the foods you buy and avoid anything with sugar in it as much as you can. And when you eat, watch how MUCH you eat - no going back for seconds!
As for exercise, is there some kind of activity that you like doing? If you have a dog, walk it around the block an extra time or two, you and the dog will both be happier and healthier. If you have kids, take them to the park and play frisbee or catch together on a regular basis. Turn on the radio and dance to the music.
In an apartment building? Take the stairs instead of the elevator. When you go shopping, park away from the door so you walk across the parking lot and get a few extra steps in that way. The trick is to keep moving, and find some way to do it that won't bore you into quitting.
Good luck!

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well. Doesn't cost much at all.

* Eats plenty of fiber. There are a quantity of well fiber cereals as a way to support you cross meals extra rapidly and avert absorption of fats. Salads furnish fiber too. * Cut down on carbs. No sodas or juice. Stay clear of vitamin as proof shows it places on kilos. * Do now not consume purple meat, beef or fried meals. You'll be amazed how this rule will avert you from consuming such a lot junk. Eat plenty of fish and bird. * Walk across the block 20 mins an afternoon. Increase it extra if essential. I did not do that, however you might perform a little push ups, sit down-u.s.a.and squats to expand muscle to burn extra fats. * Drink plenty of water. A hydrated frame burns extra energy. I misplaced 30 kilos in 30 days doing this. When I misplaced the load I desired, I simply caught the no purple meat, no beef and no fried meals rule. I've saved it off.

First of all you have to stop eating fast food. second you have to come up with a nutrition and exercise plan and stick to it. For motivation just reminice of how toned you used to be and if you stick to that plan you will once again be the way you were. Also why not buy clothes that are one size smaller than what you wear now. Try to buy something fashionable. That way you have to lose weight or that money that you spent buying that clothes went to waste.

Try joining classes at a gym. You can get a gym membership for $40 or less usually, which means, cut out eating out and it's paid for itself. Joining a class usually motivation because you make friends and want to go, etc.
If you know that you eat like crap, do what you can to change it. When you go the grocery store, but fruits and veggies. You can buy frozen veggies, which cost less and are usually just as healthy as fresh. You also need to buy whole grains (breads and rice) and lean meats.
Also, get one of your friends to NAG you every day to go to the gym. If you feel guilty enough, maybe you'll go.

Small changes to your diet will help. Eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive. Don't eat fast food to start with. One of the healthiest things you can eat is beans which are cheap. Black beans are incredible power foods. Find an exercise you enjoy. If going to the gym isn't for you try walking, swimming, a sport, biking, etc.

look, it's really simple. if you want to lose weight, you must BURN more caliroies than you EAT. if you do the opposite, and eat more calories than you burn, you will GAIN weight. that is the truth, pure and simple.
if you want to lose weight, it can't be something you just decide on a whim. it has to be a serious, dedicated decision, that you are willing to change your entire lifestyle for. that might sound dramatic, but it's true; without a serious, long-term change in your lifestyle, you will NOT lose the weight you want to lose.
losing weight is HARD and it is WORK. it is also very easy to blow off. so, unless you dedicate yourself and get in for the long haul, you dont stand a chance.
once you've decided you're willing to make sacrifices, go to bed hungry on occasion, and DEDICATE time to exercise, you can do it.

I have a problem thats similar, only I never have time. But if you sign up to do something (Like a swimming class, kickboxing, ect.) like at a community place(most towns have one, and if not, some libraries do things like that too) you feel kinda obligated to go. And as to the weight thing, I'm your height and I weigh more than you do, yet everyone tells me I'm not fat. its really all about who you choose to listen to. DUH if your friends tell you your overweight you'll feel bad. But they're proly keeping you that way by making you feel bad!
