I'm 20 years old and have never had any known allergies. Last night I got a rash on my face after exercising/eating. This afternoon I just got the same rash. It starts at my jawline then moves up to my eyebrows...it's red, hot, itchy, and blotchy...it's like misquito bites.

It can happen overnight. I always had a house cat. One day I woke up and I was violently allergic to cats. It has not gone away in 25 years and I still swell up and itch when I get around a cat or go in a house where there is a cat.

My cousin was on a cruise went into anaphylactic shock when she was stung by a bee: she has been stung a lot in her life without problems, but Boom! there she was and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance and now she has to carry an anaphylactic shock kit with her at all times.

yes you can develop an allergy to something later in life.
check see if you have got anything new bed spread pillow aftershave soap anything that might be in contact with your face.
the allergen could also come from something you touched and then touched your face.
one way to see if it is an allergy is to take an anti histamine
benadyll is one that is good from treating hives and itch ask the pharmacy for some help with that if after 20 to 30 ,min the hives are gone then its more then likely an allergy . or a chemical sensitivity
did you work out prior to both incidents of the hives ?
people can react to exercise i am myself and if i were to run or something i can break out the same way you did.
if at any time you find there is swelling around your mouth or neck or if you start having difficulty breathing then take the anti histamine right away and seek medical help.
since you didn't say what your were doing the second time its hard to guess the source but you can think back and remember if there is any common factors to the incidents.
that's about it .

Yes it could be an allergy and they can start all of a sudden. Did you change any thing in you're daily habits, like the soap you use, or washing powder? That's what did it to me. I was using a soap and all of a sudden I got the itches and a rash. It could be something you just developed.

yes, allergies can come and go overnight. when i was a kid i was allergic to numerous foods. after eating them, i would break out on my back with those bumps(welts). see a allergist until then i would keep track of what i eat and what seems to trigger the episodes.
