This guy I had a long distance relationship for a year has screwed me over pretty bad. When we first started dating he was a sweetheart, but then in July he started becoming distant from me. He was supposed to come visit me in Texas for our one year anniversary in August but three hours before he is supposed to be on a bus he calls saying he cant come. The last two months he has really been mentally abusing me. We broke up two weeks ago. Now he is hanging out with a 16 year old and they seem to be dating. He's 20 and I'm 18. My heart is hurting, but I have this wonderful guy named Eric trying to do everything he can to make me feel better. Eric loves me and wants to marry me someday. My life has stopped ever since my ex has done to me. I know this was probably all confusing, but what should I do?

Let it go, I know it's hard, but let it go. The long distance man is a jerk especially if he's 20 and is chasing after a little 16 year old. You don't need someone who is going to be mentally abusive to you, you deserve better.

Go for Eric, he's going to make you happy. Stop thinking about the other guy, he's trash! He's not worth it. You won't get anywhere with him, he will just dump you and leave you with a broken heart.

Stay with Eric he sounds great! You have a future with him. ;)

18 years old you are still a child in my opinion. Don't get so wrapped up in any one person at your young age. Forget about that dirt bag. Any man that is mentally abusing isn't worth being around anyway. It just get worse. Let this Eric guy be your friend and forget about what has happened. Like I said you are 18 you still have so much life left to live go have fun. You are better off w/o him.

Move on. The ex broke your heart, but that's not the end of the world. Open your eyes and your heart to the guy who is there and cares for you. Even if things don't work out with him, he can help you get over the ex. You're young. Don't give up on love just because you had a bad relationship.

long distance relationships are tricky and if you cant fully trust him, then the relationship will not last. It may be hard but you should think about moving on. You don't need the mental abuse and you should find someone who treats you like you should be treated. Eric seems like he fits that pretty well so try things out with him! Good luck!

Get on with your life. Your ex is all in your imagination if you haven't even meet face to face yet. Your a young girl and there certainly must be many males that live in your vicinity that you can date live and not on line. Let him have his 16 year old and you go out and find someone who is very compatible for you.

You used the word "distance" in the first sentence. The word "distant" in the second. I think Your use of this word may be subliminal.
Distance yourself from him and find someone to hold you at night or move to him.
There is no such thing as a good long DISTANCE relationship.
