"Between March of 2000 and 2004, the number of unemployed adult natives increased by 2.3 million, while the number of employed adult immigrants increased by 2.3 million." Coincidence? Other explanations?

Kapute- you don't actually believe that do you? I have seen business owners, computer programmers, and other people get deported as well as the laborer. Just because your illegal, doesn't mean your not a skilled worker.

The idea that these "illegals" are coming to do work that no one else will do is bull. Here in Denver, the great majority are taking high paying construction jobs. Just check out their rides, brand new trucks with tons of options with the obligatory Guadalajara or some other Mexican city stenciled in the back glass. While yes, some work in the fields it is a small percentage. Do you really believe that these people are working for $2.00 an hour and are still able to eat, pay rent and send most of their money back home? Is it just coincidence that Mexican Black Tar Heroin is more prevalent here in Denver than just about any other drug? The first thing these people do is break the law by coming here. Is it any surprise they have little or no regard for any of our drug laws, or for that matter any of our laws.

Not a coincidence at all. For some silly reason our government is allowing foreigners to come here to fill jobs that were held by Americans. I have several friends in the computer programming field who haven't been able to find work, yet we have 50 non-American computer programmer contractors where I work.

It used to be that you could only work in America as a non-citizen if you could prove there was a shortage in your field.

We're letting this country fall apart.

not coincidence at all they struggled to win these jobs.but I had been told that many of them employed as universal graduate while they only get high school degree it is a state Governor responsibility this disease also transmitted to Iraq and spreads widely leading to corruption .

yes its a coincidence. if they took those jobs there would be those who already didnt have a job + the jobs "that were taken by the illegals" amounting to much more than 2.3 million.

our economy needs immigrants. our country is the greatest. we can say one thing and do something entirely different. It goes back as far as the revolution. We wanted to look strong so we fought for our independence and we didn't want to look powerhungry so we protested it at the same time. Sounds like coincidence really though. I don't think anyone was doing exact math when hiring immigrants.

No it is not a coincidence. There's a direct corralation between the two.

2% of ILLEGAL ALIENS are picking our crops.

Five million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan--they are old and confused. We are NOT going to grant them an extension.

However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) training at our expense, etc.

WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE...OR WE MUST REALLY LOVE TACOS!
