You haven't talked for months and it is definitly a love hate thing going on should I try to contact him or just keep on moving on?

What for? It's best to let a sleeping dog lie. Where's your self respect? He had his chance and blew it! other wise you'd still be together right? move on and hold your head up. If it's been months, there's nothing there or shouldn't be. Besides, there's still that chance that his new girlfriend will open the letter from you or answer the phone and that might hurt you. And... just the thought of contacting him, makes it sound like your a pretty nice person with feelings and compassion. Be nice to yourself in this case. take care and good luck :)

This will be the first holiday apart from my ex-fiance. We ended on good term but I hope she doesn't call me during that time, it would give the wrong message even if you are just trying to be nice.
