Why did he attempt to buy such an expensive car in the first place if he doesnt have a job to pay for it?! I don't think you can return a car like you would a shirt you no longer want, you have to sign papers, etc. saying you agree to buying the car. He probably also had to set up some kind of finance agreement so they can send him bills for the car payment. I highly doubt he can just return the car.

I feeld stupid even saying this...

But, i doubt very much that this actually happened.

First, YES, the credit report would not have matched the name, and the BANK would have denied the loan based on that.

Second, In some states you NEED to present a drivers license and the dealer has to check to make sure that you can legally BUY a car (that you aren't ineligible due to DUI convictions)

Lastly, No finance company will let you walk out the door with a financed deal without collision and comprehensive insurance. Wich, this fictional person obviously didn't have.

Add to that, that the person who asked this question just joined today, has never asked a question before, and obviously speaks reasonably good english. And while you may be fluent in more than one language, I would think that if you had the mental capacity to fluently learn two languages, you would also have the mental capacity to answer this question for yourself, or call a lawyer.

And NOW I am stupid for having wasted my time and energy with this nonsense.

that is called identity theft and it is a felony. Your friend should immediately go to the dealer, not the salesman or manager who handled this and return the car and void the contract. This is a very serious situation you are describing and the chances of getting caught are extremely high. If the dealer will not undo this if it was me I would go to the police and tell them, before they come looking. then they will not listen.

Have him return the car and go with him to explain to the dealer what happened and that he was confused. Otherwise he could be arrested and charged for fraud.

It is hard to feel sorry for your friend, being that he lied to get what he wanted and he got it. Tell him to just take the car back, I am sure the dealership will gladly take it back. I can't believe that they sold it to them . That's America for you.

You need a license to drive a car. Not to buy one.

Sounds like your friend is an illegal and if so they will catch him and put him in jail until he is deported.
