You have to be careful with who you chat to on the internet. Trust your intutition and if something does not feal right finish it. The chat lines have opened it up for very odd bods to play all sorts of mind games. There are child abusers who play on the feelings of lonely kids on the net etc. Chat lines are fun but people using them need to be savvy.

Creep me out? No. But like most everyone else here I think there is no harm in being cautious and not giving much away. You know nothing about anyone here or pretty much anywhere on the web. But then anonymity is also one of the attractions of this sort of thing.
I actually am a cat (but I find it REALLY freaks people out when they see me type).

If you are a teenager or younger, and you have given personal details over the internet, personal details please tell a relative/the person you llive with.
Dont ever give any personal information Remember, other people may be watching if you are on the games site, and they too will gain that same information you give, and could pretend, at a later date to be the other person. with a slightly different yahoo name, with same icon

looking at some of the answers there are definately some weird people on this site.
better to be safe than sorry. It's a shame as there as some lovely people here, but you've got to be paranoid and suspicious to make it in these modern times.

Yes but thats why I've never shared where I live, what I look like, and other improtant info that could tell a person where I live. Try not to be too paranoid.

The internet is what it is. Anonymous. Basically the only people I've ever met from online are people who gather in groups for parties or nights out in public. That's how you figure out who is real or who isn't.

On a site like this it doesn't really bother me because who they are doesn't make much difference, but I don't go to a chat rom for that reason.

imagined the computer being a costume ..you can be anything you want...there's a lot of people out there that are bad ..trying to make victims out of everyone they meet on the Internet..there's an old saying on the Internet ..if it sounds too good to be true ..it usually is..take everything with a grain of salt..

Doesn't bother me.
You should never use your real name on the internet. The things that you say will come back to haunt you. Once it's posted, it's potentially out there forever (and I really mean forever)
