No you do not have to take it to the dealer. All you need is a flat head screw driver, a phillups, and the replacement part. If you need help doing it, check the owners manual, it knows all.

Open the trunk and look for the electrical cables at the rear of the trunk. To replace a bulb, simply "pop-out" the socket and look at the bulbs. You should be able to see which ones are blown and the number to replace it with.
Good luck!

if the car is under warranty then take it to the dealership and let them do it, but if not then try this. if you dont see any screws outside the car on the light cover itself, look in the trunk of the car under the trunk carpet lining behind the light cover.you should see what tool you will need to fix your problem. this do not require a special tool.and if you take it to a dealership and its not under warranty, they will over charge you big time TRUST ME

you can do it yourself. you either need a hex tool or a screw driver depending on the type used. its easy and only take a few minutes

you can do it yourself. all you need to do is open the trunk and remove the screw that holds the brake light in place. then pop the whole light fixture off and then you can twist the light bulb off.
