Hi there....this is very urgent! Cats who ingest string can die as the intestines are curvy. When string is chewed and swallowed by a cat, it often becomes caught on the tongue or lodged somewhere in the gastrointestinal tract. It continues to be carried through the tract by the natural actions of the digestive system. The taught string slices the intestinal tissues, causing severe infection and death if surgery is not performed in time. This is deadly for cats.
Please beg any friend or family member for money to get your cat into emergency care. Every minute is precious. We've seen too many kittens die because of this.

PLEASE TAKE THE CAT IN IMMEDIATELY!!! Waiting this out will be too late. Vets will make payment arrangements or beg, borrow money from friends or family.

Your kitten is dieing. When animals swallow string or ribbon it can knot up around their intestines. It sounds like this happen, but an x-ray is needed. If you do not take your kitten you will be murdering him. Call a vet that is willing to set up a payment plan. Anyways, x-rays don't cost much at all. At least make the cost and speak with someone.
If no one is willing and you can't pay the bill, take it to a Humane Society or shelter. A lot of them offer medical services, though you may have to surrender your cat.
Side note to everyone reading this: if you can't take care of all the needs of an animal, you shouldn't own one.

GET YOUR KITTEN TO A VET!!!!!! It's very important as others have mentioned because the string could wrap itself around his intestines.
When you call the vet, you should see if they accept CARE CREDIT. It's like a normal credit card, only for health-realted things. If they do, you should see if they have the application forms to apply for it. That way, you don't have to be in debt to your vet or to someone that you borrow money from. Not only does my vet accept it, so does my chiropractor!

If you explain your situation to the vet he might be willing to make arrangements for you to pay weekly or monthly.
You need to get your kitten taken care of asap
If all else fails call humane society, but don't just sit on this...do whatever it takes, the poor animal is depending on you

This happened to my cat, we didnt know that she liked mint dental floss untill one day she was foaming at the mouth and throwing up. So we took her to the vet ASAP and she had to get an xray and the vet saw that the floss had wrapped around all her intestants, so they had to do surgery to get it out, and thats when we knew she liked to eat mint dental floss. BUT PLEASE GET YOUR KITTEN TO A VET, HE NEEDS HELP ASAP, SINCE YOUR HAVING MONEY ISSUES, ASK ANYONE FOR MONEY AND TELL THEM YOU WILL PAY THEM BACK AS SOON AS YOU CAN GET THE MONEY. Ask your animal hospitals if they have any programs to help pay for surgeries, mine does, so just ask. BUT PLEASE GET HELP FOR YOUR KITTEN!!!!
