because...its like if you loose a pair of shoes that you really like, you wish you had them..........but while you have them, your still willing to wear other shoes. Its like you dont love them you just miss their convenience to you

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. And you always want what you can't have.

Both of these are terribly cliche but they got that way because they are true. Sadly a lot of people have difficulty appreciating what is right there in front of them until its gone, or its too late. We need to start taking time out to think about how lucky we are to have all the great things we have in our lives, otherwise we may just lose it all.

So keep that in mind the next time you feel something slipping through your fingers. If you want it to stay around then you need to make it worth the while.

You appreciate them more, cause when they are not with you you start thinking about every good thing the person had or has, the good things the person did for you, just every single thing. When you're with somebody, you think that person is going to be there forever, and so you think you're not telling the person that you love it today cause you can do it tomorrow, you don't make it laugh because you can do it next week, you don't give compliments cause you do it next weekend, something like that. We think that person will always be there, an no, that's not true. That's why we should always try to make people happy, try to be happy with each other, we have to try to not see just the bad things on somebody, we also have compliment that person for its good things, cause that person might not be here tomorrow and then you will regret not doing what you had to.

i dont know if it works relationship wise like that but i know i ahd a friend and we used to joke around with him and stuff like that and then when he died a few months ago it made me realize how much of an impact he had on me and i know appreciate him way more than i did. and yes i miss him every minute of every day. i prolly appreciate him more now that he is gone because when he was here i never thought of him being gone when oyu are with some one you dont really think about stuff like that. you never know what you have til it is gone. ya that sounds like a cliche but it is sooooooooooo true!

its very true...
and i guess we just take the people who love us and care about us for granted.
So when they walk away; it's the little things that we miss and long for, and then, after they are gone, we start realizing what they did for us and how great these things were although @ the time we used to think that these things were pretty much nothing, and we think it's like: well, they have to do that!! ( you know what i mean?)

people appreciate someone more when they are gone because they have alot of time to think about the situation and get to experience what it would be like if that person left them.

sometimes they are glad to see the person go, other times they realize how much that person really means to them & they want them back in their lives - it's not always a guarantee that you will be missed & appreciated.

it usually happens to me, and it's because I'm a bit nervous and overactive so I don't focus on things when I'm with that person, there are too many things to watch before i think of them
