Tell your friend that life is what you make of it. We choose to not only entertain ourselves with unrealistic adventures but also reach out and correspond with real life humans across the world. The more you know the more you grow. I take pleasure in meeting others from different places, backgrounds and lifestyles. It makes me a better me..and I do go out and mingle in the real world...this is what living is.

Well, speaking for myself, I have a nice home, great friends, a fantastic career, and I make over $200,000 a year. My career affords me the luxury of going onto Yahoo! Answers whenever I feel like it.
Your friend sounds like a judgmental loser herself. You can do better; dump her.

There are admittedly a lot of pontless questions on here, but there are also a lot of people asking for honest information. They have to sort through any number of wasted answers, but there are many of us who actually try to be helpful.
I suppose I should get back to work, though....
