Just because you're a college graduate, doesn't mean you learned anything.
Just to answer your question, we didn't evolve from monkeys, you dolt.
We come from a common ancestor. Here's the easiest way for me to explain this to you.
Let's take a scoop of ice cream (the origin of species) on a cone. From that ice cream, the goodness runs down the cone (a sub-species). That stream splits into two directions, causing seperate streams (one an ape and one a human). And they keep splitting until it drips onto your preverbial lap.
This is pretty simplistic, I'm sure it's more complicated than that. This pretty much sums up how we can have apes, monkeys and other primates that are related to us still existing. They branched off into one direction and we another. We just got the better end of the stick.
And, a million years from now, there may be another species that will spawn off from us. We see natural selection working every day.
You've already showed your lack of intelligence by asking this stupid question and making a claim that evolution is false. The only one who didn't think about it is you.

Your "superior" intelligence pales in comparison to my infinitely powerful mind. Here's your answer:
Imagine 100 monkeys. Genetic mutation occurs in one of them, improving it's survivability. It mates with one of the "old" monkeys, producing offspring that's improved. Exponentially advance the genetic line, not forgetting that the other 99 monkeys continued mating as well.
Now it's many generations down the line. The superior monkeys eventually group together, as animals tend to do, and move on to bigger and better things. The inferior monkeys stay where they are, and do what they've always done.
Now it's thousands of years later. The superior monkeys have spread and occupied their own area. The inferior monkeys are still in the same old place.
Hundreds of thousands of years later, another mutation takes place, and the cycle begins anew.
Thousands more years later, you now have three distinct groups, the original inferior monkeys who have not changed, the original superior monkeys, and the new super-monkeys.
Thousands of years down the road, the super-monkeys created their own society and ruled the world in a place called the United States. The original superior monkeys hold Africa, and the original inferior monkeys also are still around where they've always been, doing what they always do.
Granted, this is a simplified explanation, what took place is so much more complex, but I had to simplify due to time and space constraints, and so your limited intellect could grasp the concept.
The point is, we still have monkeys because while new and improved monkeys survived better, the old monkeys still worked.
Ever heard the saying "Ignorance is bliss"? It means that stupid people generally have no idea that they're stupid. It takes an exceptional individual to detect this, and point out to these people that they are indeed stupid. This is our responsibility as superior minded people, to stimulate genetic evolution in the inferior of our species. So you have now been told.

This has to be a joke. This is just way to stereotypical of a person who knows nothing and says all the catch phrases that make them seem smug. But I'll indulge:
How are you apparently so knowledgeable, yet so uninformed about evolution. We didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor. That should have been covered in the first day of evolution in science class.

i imagine you want to verify extra. that is not the athiest version of historic previous, it is extra like what religious human beings imagine that atheists imagine. For a commence you disregarded lots between abiogenesis and guy. the first cells with a nucleus known over 2 billion years in the past. also, guy did not evolve from monkeys. We percentage a without delay ahead ancestor with monkeys, yet our closest living relative is the chimpanzee. attempt interpreting the wikipedia web page i have said. you would study some thing.

ok, im not an atheist, but I'm also not a very strong believer, I don't know what that makes me, but I do believe in evolution. Like the guy said about snakes and lizards. I do believe in the whole bible thing, i think it's a good story, but i find it a little hard to believe that one man created the world. I am also a college graduate. Trying to make it to chemist, therefore I can't believe something that is not tangible, I think evolution is more probable than poof and God made the world.

Grade 10 science class review:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecological_niche
Now that we know what an ecological niche is, we can know what "speciation" is. We did *not* evolve from monkeys, rather monkeys AND US evolved from another common ancestor that is neither us, nor monkey - but a more primitve form that incorporates both of our architectures. For instance, it had all the same organs we do, it had five fingers and five toes... but somewhere along the line, we lived in different ecological niches (see above - i.e. we had different resources available to us) and we evolutionarily grew apart and bred only within our niches. Hence why we now have different wrist/ankle structures and so forth.
'Superior intelligence'? You missed grade 10 science class.

I'm going to avoid insults and assume that this is a joke. I liked the oxymoronic "I'm becoming a minister" juxtaposed with "don't insult my superior intelligence". Monkeys and all primates came from a primate-like mammal of the late Paleocene, Carpolestes simpsoni or its close cousin. Every member of its order, plesiadapiformes, is extinct.

I have seen that one at least a hundred times.... The Theory of evolution dose not say man evolved from monkeys...
you are a good example of the reason more emphasis should be placed on primary education and less on the "higher education industery..... and if you are indeed prepairing for a ministery you are far from achieving that. your going to need a lot more time with The Lord before you will be able to stand before a congrigation in His Name... you have a totaly wrong attitude for one who seeks a pulpit.
my advice as one of The True Christian Faith... seek other ways to serve God...

The fact that you are stuck up enough to say you have "superior intelligence" makes me feel sorry for your sheep.
There are still monkeys because some that is the way evolution goes. Not everything can advance. Why are there still blue-eyed people? Brown eyes are more dominant. Why are there still stupid people? Because people like you foster stupidity.
I respect people that truly believe in their religion. I don't tolerate arrogance.

Your not a good minister becuse ministers don't make people fell bad about them self unless there catholic. Evolution does exist becuse of frogs. They start from water and move to land. Smaller animals over come bigger animals it it simple in the way the earth lives and works. So not to insult your "intelligence" but that's why strong animals live the adapt attributes to there enviroments.
