For now you do have to die. I think therefore I am. I live therefore I die. These are the laws of nature. However there is always a possibility of someone finding the formula for infinite life, but the question is, would you really want that? Think about it, Hitler would still be alive, you would never die even if you wanted to, the world would be chaos. The world must create balance and keep order, therefore people die in order to keep this balance. People die, the world goes on, you just have to get used to it..no matter how hard it may be..

if we never died, there would be to many people on earth and then there would be a shortage of food. also, if we never die, and there was only a certain about of people on earth, there would have never been a begining which is illogical.
also, we die in order to let others experience life. that and we can only live so long scientifically. everything dies and new things come, thats what makes the world keep going. life feeds off dead things. if nothing died, nothing new would ever come and we would never have a perfect earth.

Scientists can't even understand why we die- our body actually regenerates new cells all the time. The bible provides the answer. Romans 5:12 says "through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned". Adam sinned ---> passed sin on to offspring like a degenerative disease ----> we all sin ---> we all die.

It was not that way in the beginning before Adam and Eve sinned.
God wanted us to live forever in paradise because we are His children.
Once original sin came into the world, it brought a whole lot of problems, such as pain during childbirth, death, suffering, hate, etc.
Death is just a passage into (hopefully) something better--ETERNAL life. It is not something to be feared--unless you're an atheist!! LOL!
God Bless!

We do not all need to die. Only the unsaved die. Our flesh and bones will pass, but our spirits live on. Biological cells have a limited amount of energy, in other words they only live for their predetermined life span. God created us. He knew the life we would face. He knew that if we had sin in this life he would need to prepare a place for us to go to where we could live the life he intended for us. Sin has caused pain, suffering and death of the body.

well..it is a curse upon man because of what we did in the garden of Eden...we have gained knowledge of thing we really didnt want to know, God was protecting us from it...but u know...... death is a curse and comes on swift wings to all of us...but some are fortunate enough to evade the 2nd death ( the death of your soul) because God came to earth int he form we know as Jesus Christ and was persecuted and crucified so that we may enter heaven...because you see...what He did was...He paid our way into heaven...without Him we could never enter heaven because of our sins.... so without Him...we wud have to die more than 1 time because no amount of good deeds is enough to get u into heaven if you do not know who Jesus is and accept Him...u cud do acts like Mother Theresa..and if u didnt accept Christ as ur personal savior...your 2nd death will be most painful and tedious. your questions answer is really quite simple

What would be the alternative? Apart from the theological considerations, if living things didn't die, the earth would soon be completely buried in organisms.

Well, I think it is good to have an end. Our bodies start malfunctioning after 30 and just get worse and worse. I would think that at some point I would want to be done with this body. Can you really say it is desirable to wander around endlessly in your diapers and wheelchairs'???
