there is a difference between being friendly and flirting. Most girls don't know this boundary and that is why bf's are possessive. Girls think they are strong and know all the signs of men hitting on them, but girls don't, or they ignore them. Bottom line is guys will hit on girls whether they are taken or not, and girls are dumb enough to go with or believe them. Bf's are possessive because they don't ever want a situtation to get to that point. Bf's trust you, but they don't trust the other guys not to take advantage of you, and you get into a situtation you can't handle without knowing it. That is why. SO it is ok to be friendly, but don't be trusting, flirty, or overly responsive to other men you don't know, and even some you do.

The first time you let someone else decide who your friends are, it is only a matter of time before they determine what you wear or where you can go.
I believe your significant other should be number one in your life and the best way for your new bf/gf to learn to tolerate or get use to your friends is to introduce them!
Don't write off all your friends of several years for someone that might be gone tomorrow. Everyone has to earn there place, especially a significate other.

Some guys are too possessive. It also depends on how you act around other guys. If you are being flirtatious with them he may feel jealousy because of your actions. Do you let him be friendly with other girls?

they are so possessive as well as jealous because they are insecure with themselves, and the relationship...
i myself am a rather jealous person, so i would know... i do my best to ignor my jealousy, but it's hard, and my girlfriend understands, and still accepts me...

i have a bf, and he is totally cool w/me having guys as friends...he lets me sit on there laps, hug them..he is really sweet and easy going (my bf), and knows that me and my friends, will always just be friends..and that nothing will replace him..
