I'm decorating my first Christmas tree this year and I don't want to have to spend anything over $50 on ornaments. I went to the dollar store today and I DONT like what they have.

Discount stores like Wal-Mart and Target are good for cheap ornaments.
I live close to NYC, so every year, we take the kids into the city in December to shop, see the tree in Rockefeller Center, see the Xmas decorations in the city, etc. We've made it a tradition to go to Macy's Herald Square to buy one or two fancy ornaments every year. We've got quite a collection by now. And it hasn't cost us an arm and a leg because we've spread it out over time.

Target has a really good selection that aren't a bad price. I was there just the other day and most stores already have all their Christmas stuff out. There's a lot of cool ones. Good luck!

I got most of my first Christmas tree ornaments at Walmart ,Kmart and Garden ridge.

Wal-mart, Big Lots and the Dollar General Store.
Also second hand stores....like Goodwill.

Dollar store might have some.
I believe CVS or Walgreens has some discount ornaments.

Pier 1 usually has a lot of cool ornaments that aren't too expensive.

Do you have a Big Lots near you? They carry nice looking ornamnets for cheap. Or try decorating some yourself if you're crafty. Buy some solid colored balls and decorate with some glitter glue, ribbons, feathers, sequins, etc.

Believe it or not you can go to any dollar tree or dollar world and they have beautiful ones...kmart have more of the ones for theme type trees

I get my ornaments at Target -- good selection, good price.
