Sometimes I make my birthday cake homemade and sometimes i go to the supermarket and buy one. what do you do most?

I make them from scratch. I love cooking, and it gives me opportunities to try out new recipes. Only store bought when asked, like my boyfriend, I make his cake and also buy a toblerone-white chocolate creme cake from the our favorite bakery (with some cakes you just can't compete) At the end, there are no left overs!!!!

I buy cakes for really big parties. I will make the cake myself for a smaller crowd... plus, it gives more of a personal touch when it's done yourself.

I always make them - it's part of my birthday gift to the person whose birthday it is, it lets them know I think they are special enough to spend the time and effort to make them their own cake.

I buy them to save myself and everyone in the house a screaming fit. I used to keep trying and they all went into the garbage. One made it to kitchen wall before it got to the garbage. I was so mad!! They always stuck for some reason. So now theres no more fits of rage. Thank you bakers of the world!! : )

I have found an awesome local bakery so I usually buy them. However, for super special occasions (like my son's 1st birthday, my mother's 50th birthday, etc) I make and decorate them myself.

i usually buy mine... i like getting a strawberry filling, but i'll make one for friends to gives it a nice touch to do it myself
