I woke up because it was hot in the room, to get some water and it started to bleed. My nose hasnt bled for years. And the room was no thotter than usuale. Does it have to do with the weather? Does anyone really know where the blood comes from?

Nosebleeds are caused by rupture of capillaries in the nasal lining. This happens if the air is too dry (as is often the case in winter), by trauma to the nose, or simply blowing your nose too hard. In the wintertime it helps to have a mist humidifier running in your room.

Weak blood vessels can cause a nose bleed especially if you have'nt been hit in it.People that suffer regularly can have their nose cortorised(can't spell) and this usually stops it.You could have had a nose bleed for all sorts of reasons,it doesn't seem worth worrying about unless it persists.

well..nasal bleeding or epistaxis may hav various reasons..local factors lik trauma, dryness, infections.,continuos irritation by yr handkerchief, etc etc..or due to various diseases in body lik hypertansion ..or impaired blood coagulation disorder....but inyr case it may be hot weather in wch peripharal blood circulation increases..lik in nose..n pressure in cappilaries increases n any irritatable thing lik dryness of internal nose may aggravate it.....n capillaries rupture mainly in the vicinty of tip of nose n nasal septum....known as little'area...(90% cases of epistaxis)..where it hav very dense capillary network n arterial circulation...n hav more prone to trauma even trivial irritation may do this..so..whenevr u get this pinchin of this area ..i mean tip of nose will stop bleeding..or some drugs lik nasal decongstant wch decreases blood supply there (eg. xyelometazoline) may help u....n u shd lie down in aposition so nose ll be above the body level..wch ll gravitate the blood below.......well...if this all dont work...n u get again n again this..u shd sort it out wid the help yr doctor....bye
