I'm thinking of getting an apartment next semester? Is that better, dorm life isn't really for me, too much drama with all these girls, what would u do

I actually moved off campus my freshman year and it had it's positives and negatives:
+'s
privacy, quietness (for the most part), rent was comparable to dorm fees (maybe even a little less),
-'s
utilities, transportation (if you do or don't have a car), gas, groceries/eating out (depending on your meal plan), people trying to hang out at your crib LOL, cable bill or any extra bill of things you would have as an "extra" that may be included in dorm fees
one way or the other, think it through and do what you feel is condusive to your situation.

Dorm life isn't great, but have you ever had an apt. before? There's alot of work involved. Cleaning, shopping, paying bills, etc. At least in a dorm there's a janitorial service, laundry facilities in-house, you eat out at a dining common. Seems to me that to really concentrate on school you should try to make the best of your dorm. An apt. may take alot of time away from your studying.

Dorm life wasn't for me either. I lived in an apartment with one roommate right next to campus, and it was an ideal situation - no drama or crowded bathrooms, yet still close enough to walk everywhere...

I loved my apartmetn...much better than the dorm. And it taught me adult responsibility...which my parents loved. Take into consideration....you will have to pay monthly utility bills, grocery shop and cook on your own, and clean the apt...bathrooms too. You might need a roomie to offset costs, but an apt. gives you a LOT more privacy than the dorm.

For a while I had to share a room with my little sister- and by any standards she was hell on wheels. I felt MUCH better once I got my own apartment.
Keep in mind what you can afford though, and how safe it is.
