I want to get my family a resident visas for Dubai but our PRO got visit visas sponsored by me, instead. Can I change it to resident visas right after they get here? because I want to transfer my kid's schooling here asap. Do they need to exit to other country after 2 months just for a visa change? or is there a possible way to avoid the exit?...thanks

Start the process of changing them before they enter the country. If that isn't possible start the process asap, so that the residential visa will kick in before they lose visitors status. If your still in legal limbo during the approaching time that the visiting visa runs out. Reapply for an emergency extend visa until the governmental office has time to approve or deny your request for another visitors visa.

I know that in Japan, to change a visa, a person must go to a Japanese embassy. Since there is no Japanese embassy in Japan, the person must go to a country that has a Japanese embassy, to change the visa. Check with a Dubai embassy or with Dubai immigration. You might be able to find the answer to your question on the Internet.
