I waited until I was 25. I think it was a great time. Mostly because I had gotten all the "party" out of my system.. I had all the fun I could have had in my 20's. It helped me grow up, become more responsible, and honestly, I enjoy life more now that I ever did in my early years.

You should not have a goal. You may end up with the wrong partner if you stick to that goal. I do agree that 25 is a decent age for most people because by then they have finished school and have most likely have some job security.

After you've been married at least 4 years. My husband and myself have been together 19 yrs/ married 17 and I can say happily. We have much in common, love to spend time together with and without the kids. We had a great base relationship to start with. I was 26 & 29.

Star,
When the baby is twenty years old you will be forty five, that sounds absolutely great. On the other hand it's got to be really tough for women at forty having a baby, just do the math and I think you will agree. It takes a lot of energy to take care of a baby, so the younger you are the more energy have.

Well my daughter was born when I was 23, I wasn't ready for her in any way (financialy, emotionaly, etc...) but I discovered that with her arrival all that came!
I am now 26, and a single dad, and would not trade it for anything in the world!!!
You cannot get the maturity to have a child until you actually have the child, it is as much as a learnign curve for you as it is for them.

well, i had my 1st when I was 19, my 2nd at 22, my 3rd at 29, my 4th at 35 and now I'm pregnant with my 5th and I'm 37. All these ages are perfect for me because they were all planned and wanted!! :o) (yes, I've been married the whole time to the same man)

Any age after you have really matured. And I am not talking about: Hey I just graduated from junior high and I am grown now. I'm talking about an age where you can actually take care of yourself and a baby.

Sounds good to me :-)
I just think the right age is whenever your life is well on track such as married, out of college (if you're attending), have a stable job, etc. That's usually around 25-30 yrs. of age which is perfect in my opinion.

thats about right ,the ideal is to finish college and be financially stable. to take care of your child and that you have a husband who works and who is financially stable. not an 8$ an hr job.
