It's a word people use frivilously now and I'm left to wonder...what exactly is sexy?

Sexy comes from qualities of appeal. To me a woman can be sexy if she is confident, strong, has a great personality. Obviously looks is the major appeal when describing someone or even something as sexy. I think honestly I use the word sexy more based on looks. But later on down the road as I get to know someone (a woman) I label them as sexy for personality traits as well.

I think a woman who is confident, sweet, likes to smile and is outgoing. A woman who looks and feels confident wearing sweats, or jeans and a sweat shirt can be one of the sexiest women alive.
Wearing a short skirt and showing off the ladies is not sexy, it's nothing more than taking advantage of a man's visual stimulation. It's wearing the jeans and t-shirt, or sweats and him still think there's something sexy about you! Something to pursue!

People do use it alot and most of the time they use it out of context. To me, "sexiness" is an attitude and the way you carry yourself. It isn't necessarily about the way you look. Confidence, intelligence, and a kind heart define the word sexy to me. I'M SEXY!!!! LOL.

Debby,there are so many things,from looks and make up and clothes,there is so much to Define sexy, and not sexy,trying to dress to young,you can be a mature Lady,and still look sexy,no problem, take care Debbs my good friend.

To me its an attitude. A confident air that someone has about them. They don't have to be loud or brash about it, but a level of confidence and self sufficiency is super sexy to me.
Someone who knows what they want, when they want it, and who isn't afraid to go for it.
On and a nice *** and cute pair of eyes doesn't hurt either!

Well, I think each person has their own definition of what is 'sexy' -
I mean, I fancy guys with lush accents (Russian, Yorkshire, etc.), weedy bodies (yes, I know they aren't generally considered attractive), strong jawlines, and pouty lips, haha!
Oh, btw, I don't actually like the word itself - it sounds distasteful somehow. :/

What a great question! To me, sexy is when a woman makes eye contact with me and draws me to her without touching me, and makes me want her while telling me she wants me--without saying a word.
