Most likely integral to the alternator. Easy check is to follow the wiring harness from the back of the alternator, if there is an external regulator, the harness will connect to it. Almost every car in the last 20 years has had internal regulators.

I will tell you it is definetly not external, but would either be internal or even possibly part of the ECM as they have done in some vehicles.

i own a repair shop ,and i believe this one is internal ,,some of the older dodge and Plymouth,s were external ,but i think on this one its in the alternator,,good luck,i hope this help,s.and have a good thanks giving.
