It seems like an insult to associate the two in the first place, wouldn't everyone appreciate removing it?

since capitalism is a secular activity, I don't see why we need God on money. Lincoln thought it was a good idea when he did it, sort of a way to try to rebind the country together after the Civil War.

If "IN GOD WE TRUST" was removed from money, it would bother me not one whit.

And yes, while we are at it, let's put the Pledge of Allegiance back the way it was originally written. The idea that they thought that communist wouldn't say the word God (rolling eyes), that's like saying witches can't pass through the shadow of the cross.

Actually it was put on there not too long ago if you look at the total history of the United States, I believe it was put on in the early 1950's. I don't see a problem with taking it off. We should try to keep at least some things the way that our forefathers intended.

I would not. It would be another removal of God from our country. When the United States rejects God, it will fall. Look at Europe. They're only a couple steps ahead of us. If we continue to follow their footsteps, we'll end up like that.

How about instead of messing around with capitals, we put an 's' at the end? That would give everyone a bet each way.

Well, they took prayer out of the schools and the 10 commandments out of public display, so them taking the God off of our money would not surprise me 1 bit. That would make us one nation under...our own selfish immoral desires?

The entire phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST" is capitalized.

Our money should not have God or god on it. As a free nation we should be allowed to be free from religion.
